PSD Removes Mud from 20km-long Tunnel [7 December 2000] PSD (Pigott Shaft Drilling Limited) have recently completed work with Delta Civil Engineering Limited on the Blackdyke to Kennett Tunnel near Newmarket for the Environment Agency. The project involved the removal of silts & vegetation from a water transfer tunnel & associated shafts, repairs to concrete tunnel lining & installation of monitoring equipment along 19.8km of 2.54m diameter tunnel at depths of between 30m & 78m.
