H.E. Services Moves to New Durham Depot [25 June 2001] H.E. Services, Plant Hirer of the Year 2000 and one of the most aggressive Hire Companies in the UK, have recently opened a substantial facility just outside Durham, in the North East of England.
The 16 acre site together with 16,000 ft2 of offices and workshops will form the basis for further expansion for H.E. Services in the North of England. Andy Dobson, the Depot Manager, said "The substantial facilities and ultra-modern plant fleet that we now have here in Durham will enable H.E. Services to increase their coverage of the north of England, substantially. We will be running the full range of H.E. Services plant from here in Durham, including JCB Backhoe Loaders, JCB Mini Excavators, Takeuchi Midi Excavators, Komatsu Excavators, Thwaites Dumpers, Hydrema Dumptrucks, Manitou Telehandlers, Case Skidsteer Loaders, Cat Rollers and Indeco Breakers". Hugh Edeleanu, the Chairman of H.E. Services has stated that he intends to continue the expansion of H.E. Services throughout the UK, not only with wider coverage but also increased market share in all areas. On the opening of the new Durham facility, Hugh Edeleanu said: "Andy Dobson, as Depot Manager, has pulled together an excellent team of Fitters, Drivers and Office Staff and can now offer an unrivalled service throughout the north of England. The majority of machines being put into this new Depot are brand new so that our customers in this area will be able to benefit from this £2 million project". Susan Hudson, the Hire Manager said that she was overwhelmed with the superb facilities that this new Depot offers and the excellent access to all the surrounding main roads that would ensure fast and efficient delivery to site of the full range of equipment that she runs.
