Ambio: a journal of the human environment 
AMBIO addresses the scientific, social,
economic, and cultural factors that influence the
condition of the human environment. It is widely
recognized as an important international forum
for debate on these issues. Subjects covered are:
ecology, environmental economics, geology,
geochemistry, geophysics, paleontology,
hydrology, water resources, oceanography, earth
sciences, meteorology, and physical geography. AMBIO is published in eight issues per year by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. Table of contents and abstracts for issues since February 1997 are available for free on-line viewing at the Ambio website.
